Have you ever had the feeling of being afraid of turning into something you feared? When it does happen, how would you respond? Some people continue to suppress it and suffer quietly. But it seems easier, more natural, and more absolving to embrace it, doesn't it? The letting go of yourself to be swept away by the current of that change, but that also means the losing of yourself. You no longer have that hold of who you are, even if it was just an illusion. At least you were certain or thought you were certain. What do you do knowing that you cannot turn back time, knowing that the original cannot be restored? You hope for a new normal, a new arrangement, a new glory, but you wonder if that is even possible. And so you carry on to mimic the fading memory of what was and could have been, in the hope of salvation.
